Membership

Our coalition represents over 75 area nonprofits along with other interested individuals committed to the sole purpose of working on behalf of children. As a non-profit organization or community advocate, it is important to unite and work together in the local community and statewide.  Jacksonville Kids Coalition members are volunteer community leaders and children’s services experts who care deeply about the health and well-being of all children in Northeast Florida. The Coalition represents the interests of over Duval County’s 240,000 children, as well as those in the surrounding counties – particularly children served by the child-serving nonprofit organizations in Greater Jacksonville. By coordinating our individual efforts in a synchronized movement, we can increase the effectiveness of our programs and the power of our voices.

Annual membership activities include:

• Advocacy Training
• Lobbying trip to Tallahassee to meet with state legislators
• Meetings with the Mayor and City Council members on behalf of all JKC Member Organizations
• Conducting research and sharing information on issues affecting children
• Candidate forums to educate candidates on the needs of children in our community

Consider becoming an organizational member of the Jacksonville Kids Coalition. Currently, membership is complimentary and includes complimentary or discounts to our trainings and events for you or your board.  Your organization will also be listed on our website and listed in some of our printed material.
